Summer Camps 2026

Inclusive, Therapist-Led Community Programs Designed for Meaningful Participation

Summer is about shared laughed, curiosity, imagination and meaningful connections.

At M Street Pediatric Therapy, our community-based summer camps are intentionally designed so children can participate and engage in real-world experiences supported by licensed pediatric theraapists who understand complex medical and developmental needs.

Our camps blend evidence-based practice with thoughtfully designed summer programming. Children engage in play, creativity and connection in parks and community spaces that feel welcoming and responsive, not overwhelimg or clinical.

Spots are intentionally limited to maintain small group sizes and individual attention.

Mighty Hands is an opportunity for children aged 0-6 and their parents to come together in a fun, summer camp atmosphere to engage in activities to promote their use of two hands together and strategies to target their less preferred side. Both CIMT with constraint and bimanual strategies are utilized in fun and interactive ways!

Mighty Hands camps are a great fit for children who tend to use one arm or hand more than the other. Children may have diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, pediatric stroke, brachial plexus injury, brain injury, or similar conditions, but a specific diagnosis is not required. Through fun, play-based activities, we help children build strength, coordination, and confidence using both hands in play and everyday routines.

Our overall goal is to find the fun and encourage increased use of both hands in play and daily routines, in an interactive environment alongside peers. Mighty Hands camp includes both CIMT Camp and/or Bimanual Camp.

Both CIMT and bimanual approaches are guided by a licensed pediatric therapist within a supportive small group environment.

Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) Camp

June 8th-12th | 9-11 AM | Welles Park | 2333 W Sunnyside Ave, 60618

What is CIMT?

Constraint-induced movement therapy is a therapy approach in which the unaffected ham/arm is constrained to promote the use and function of the affected side.

Bimanual Camp

August 3rd-7th | 9-11 AM | Welles Park | 2333 W Sunnyside Ave, 60618

What is Bimanual Therapy?

Bimanual therapy aims to improve use and coordination in both arms/hands in play and functional activities for children with an impairment impacting one upper extremity, with the goal of encouraging both hands to work together.
